Bollywood Invasion: Lund Style

News

Edward Cullen is not the only vampire hitting Sweden.  India has sent its own bloodthirsty nightwalkers to disrupt the usual Scanian peace.

The mammoth world of Bollywood is shooting a vampire horror film right here in Lund.  “1920 Evil Returns”, the upcoming sequel of a previous Indian film, has utilized Lundagård’s historical buildings to create the film’s classical setting.

–Today, the film crew shot scenes at Kunghuset tower and inside the main Cathedral.  Tomorrow at 11 am, a poetry recital inside the university administration building will be filmed, says Magnus Pålsson, the film’s media and locations manager.

Hindi actor Aftab Shivdasani, who will appear in this film, expressed excitement over Twitter about this being the first ever Hindi film to be shot in Sweden.

–Wow, excited to shoot where no one’s shot before!, wrote Aftab.

Still early in its stages of production, “1920 Evil Returns” expects to open sometime in 2012.
